KONWIHR Workshop on March 25: New projects 2023/2

Being supported by KONWIHR also means being part of a network of researchers with similar challenges. All (newly) supported projects are invited to briefly present and discuss their project with us and the rest of the projects recently funded.

When: Monday, March 25, 2024, 15:00-16:30.

Where: Online using the TUM Informatics BigBlueButton instance.  Joining by audio is enough.

The workshop mainly includes presentations from the successful projects of the latest round. Agenda:

• 15:00-15:10: Opening and KONWIHR introduction
• 15:10-15:25: Performance Optimization for the SYCL implementation of UTBEST (Prof. Aizinger, Univ. Bayreuth)
• 15:25-15:40: Modernizing Checkpointing and Output in the Earthquake Simulation Software SeisSol (Prof. Bader, TUM)
• 15:40-15:55: Development and optimisation of a program package for simulations of strained polymer networks – CHEMBREAK (Prof. Smith, FAU)
• 15:55-16:10: Memory optimization and OpenMP acceleration of large-scale GW calculations (Dr. Wilhelm, Univ. Regensburg)
• 16:10-16:30: Discussion & closing
