In addition, the University of Regensburg was granted a new extended basis project (HPC-Stützpunkt). The University of Regensburg pursues the goal to support the scientists of the university in their application for
computing time at the NHR centres as well as to support them in porting and optimizing their applications. Local scientific expertise lies in particular in the area of numerical particle physics. With this expertise, the University of Regensburg aims to become part of the planned Bavaria-wide network for user support.
