Algorithms for Lattice Fermions – User Workshop @ Univ. Würzburg – postponed

We are glad to announce our first ALF User Workshop. The event will take place this fall (05th – 09th of October 2020) at the University of Würzburg and online and is aimed at both beginners and advanced users of the ALF Quantum Monte Carlo package.
The Algorithms for Lattice Fermions package provides a general open-source code for finite-temperature auxiliary-field quantum Monte Carlo models. Models can be specified at minimal programming cost, on arbitrary 1- and 2-D Bravais lattices. Parallel tempering, as well as projective and finite-temperature approaches are available. Suitable for both benchmarking and golden standards. Learn more about the package at the ALF Webpage: https://gitpages.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de/ALF/ALF_Webpage/ .
The event will be centered on hands-on sessions with ALF and a few presentations on the QMC theoretical basis and recent results obtained with ALF. In the first part of the workshop, participants will go through a tutorial on the package, while in the second part they will be able to form groups to work through simple projects.
Participants in need may request financial assistance by emailing us a justified request. The deadline for requesting assistance is 18/05/2020.
